British physicist, Stephen Hawking, gives humanity 1000 years to get it’s act straight. See article here. One would think that given all the time that humans have SUPPOSEDLY been on Earth, (according to the evolutionists) that we would have learned the ways of cooperative existence and grew out of blowing the shit out of each other… sadly, that just hasn’t happened, nor is there any evidence that it ever will.
The evolutionists are all optimistic, though. Hawking believes that humanity has only 1000 years before we destroy ourselves, which is diametrically opposed to most of the popular thinking out there. According to the terminally optimistic, man is already well on his way to achieving not only perpetual peace but immortality… though probably through some form of symbiotic coexistence with technology. People of faith, of course, see this as pure bunk.
We have always known what is painfully obvious… that mankind simply cannot flourish without it’s maker. We keep bumbling along and nothing ever changes except for the worse. This fact, the terminally optimistic refuse to recognize.
The good news is that one doesn’t have to agree with the terminally optimistic. There is a book that has been around for longer than any of these and it states the condition of man and the cure for this affliction. Without the cure, the condition is terminal.
So, yes… mankind, like Hawking says, cannot survive for much longer. I do not believe that it will last near as long as Hawking says that it will, I believe that maybe a few decades or maybe even a decade is all that s needed… who knows? It is not our prerogative to know the exact time or the day. Know only that the time is short when you see society decaying at a rate which is very close to the way that it is portrayed, today.
People are wilful and selfish. Every day, I see this played out on our highways, people doing the most stupid and wilful things, all in a bid to be on top, to be first. This won’t change, it will, however, become worse with every passing day. As man’s love for his fellow man grows colder and colder, so does the judgment draw nearer and nearer. It is simply the way… the course that sin must run. Many ask why God does nothing to halt this downward plunge. Why? Why would God halt what must be part of the healing process? In order to heal, the disease must be allowed to run it’s course. This is what God is doing, it is the only way to fix things and it must be done in the way that is necessary, which involves time.
God cannot save man in his sin, people would only revert back to their original state. It is our fallen nature to do this. The answer is to attain the character of God which He, Himself, provides through the impartation of His nature… His Spirit, no less. How this is done is incomprehensible to the mortal mind, though the process is recognizable and only as lengthy as the will opposing this transformation makes it. The process may take an entire lifetime, but, it is a sure one. The unconverted nature cannot survive in a perfect universe, which is why sin must be destroyed along with all of those that manifest it.
Yes, we must leave this world in order to survive… however, it won’t be in space ships or through the benevolence of aliens. The universe out there is ready to welcome us into it’s fellowship ONLY after the transformation of our defective character has been accomplished through the cooperation with God’s power to make it happen.
